Stockton

Stockton is tucked away up an unexpected, nondescript flight of stairs behind a narrow alleyway above Central’s party scene at Lan Kwai Fong. It ticks all the boxes of being a speakeasy—the hidden venue, the word-of-mouth recognition, and the vintage interiors. The bar dominates in its extensive range of cocktails—but its food is just as noteworthy. Be sure to make a night out of it by trying a selection of the recommended drinks and bar snacks. Stockton has a unique cocktail game where you can ask the bartenders for a secret cocktail—if you guess the three main ingredients correctly (alcohol base, liqueur, juice/fruit), then the cocktail is on-the-house!

ICHU Terraza

Transport yourself to the Amazonian jungle with ICHU Restaurant & Bar's al-fresco terrace—also known as ICHU Terraza. The plant-filled oasis is the perfect respite for a post-work happy hour or a weekend stint. There's always a good buzz here, hence it's the ultimate crowd favourite. Feeling peckish? Order an assortment of snacks to pair with the refreshing cocktails. Or, if you're booked in for dinner, save your stomach for the a la carte menu made up of Peruvian concoctions.

Gishiki Lounge

Nestled within the historical arts and culture compound Tai Kwun, Gishiki Lounge is a sophisticated drinking den inspired by Japanese Noh theatre. Your experience begins with a curtained entrance that beckons you into the dim-lit space. Everything is designed to reflect geisha performances, from the hand-cut Hannya mask ice blocks to the décor. Cocktail lovers unite to try the vast range of unique concoctions—think smoke-infused and hand-poured techniques. Many guests who frequent Gishiki Lounge are often guests from the restaurant, Sushi Zo, but whether you're dining or not, this bar is well worth a visit.

11 Westside

Sitting on the corner of Davis Street in Kennedy Town is 11 Westside a restaurant and hidden bar serving up Mexi-Cali fusion tacos and 'tails. The LA-inspired den is stained with graffiti walls, exposed concrete, chandeliers, and brass detailed lounges. To match the West Coast Hip Hop aesthetics you'll hear tunes from the likes of Tupac, Snoop Dogg and Dre filling the room, all while you sip on local craft brews, and funky-named tequila and mezcal mixes. Get yourself a Blue Laces or ask the barkeep for their choice of seasonal imports. As for the food, helmed by Chef Esdras Ochoa of Netflix's Final Table, the casual dine-and-drink spot affords guacamole with a show, and a clutch menu of fusion tacos with classic chips and salsa to choose from. It's a top pick for groups on the West side of town.
